Meine Mutter ist in der Unterkunft.
Ich habe sie heute morgen in die Unterkunft gebracht, super netter Empfang von Frau Barth man fühlt sich gleich Zuhause ☺️ die Zimmer hell und freundlich vorallem super sauber und mit liebe eingerichtet!

Margarete is an excellent host and makes you feel very welcome. The apartment is spotlessly clean, comfortable and warm (much needed in the winter!). It is also very well situated as it is only 4 stops from the centre of the city and the tube is at the end of the road. The beds and pillows are super comfortable (we had 2 rooms and all thought they were the some of the best beds we have found). ||||Margarete's directions to the apartment are very good and even we 3 non-german speaking tourists managed to arrive there by bus without any problems. Margarete speaks very good english so you don't need to worry if you can't speak german.||||The area is good (unlike so many places in Hamburg.) You feel really safe & there are good places to eat nearby. We had a lovely dinner at the Gorilla Grill opposite. ||||Breakfast was lovely and it is a very civilized start to the day to sit in Margarete's dining room having a leisurely breakfast. Everything we needed was there and Margarete is very kind and will look after you well! I defy you not to enjoy your stay!

I would highly recommend this accommodation! What a gem! ||Just had the most wonderful two days in Hamburg at the Christmas Markets, one of the highlights was staying at this apartment. ||Margarete was charming and made us feel so welcome. We loved her little dog called Daisy too! ||What a treat staying somewhere with warmth and character. The apartment is beautifully decorated (just like the pictures), spotlessly clean, comfortable room and it's in a fantastic location. Really close to the underground and wonderful shops and cafes within walking distance.||Already planning our next visit for next year!

This was our second visit to Margarete's wonderful apartment. The flat is elegantly furnished and very spacious. Margarete goes out of her way to make your visit enjoyable and provides a delicious breakfast tailored to individual tastes. The area is a particularly pretty part of Hamburg and there are some good restaurants right across the street. It is a true home from home and we hope to visit again very soon.

I cannot find enough words to describe how amazing this place is. The neighbourhood is gorgeous and quiet and well communicated with the rest of the city. Everything was fantastic from the moment we actually booked the room when I first spoke with the lovely owner, Margharete. We stayed in the Gaugin room which was just perfect (we loved a wee touch left in the bedroom because of our anniversary celebration). The living/dining room where we ate breakfast is just amazing. Everything during our stay was just spotless and I couldn't thank Margharete enough for making our visit to Hamburg so amazing. If you stay in Hamburg you must stay here!

Totally fell in love with this place, the owner and the lovely area. The owner was really helpful and is a well-travelled person herself. The apartment is beautifully decorated, historic and has been maintained really well. The bed was really comfy, the linen was fresh, super clean and fresh feel to the house. The view from each of the rooms is just beautiful. Lovely dog Daisy is well-behaved. Didn't have breakfast here, but just downstairs, there are excellent places to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The owner was kind enough to let us know where and what to eat (this lady has good taste). There's also a cafe called "Black Delight" right next to where the handful of restaurants - best coffee I had in Hamburg. Couldn't believe how fresh and good the food overall at these places were - simple, fresh, organic and natural. Christuskirche is the closest subway just 5 mins walk from the place - it takes you to Jungfernstieg (city centre) in about 20 mins. My husband and I returned from Berlin to stay just one night and leave early morning, but thank God our flight on Air France got cancelled! We were able to stay for one more breakfast, lunch and coffee in this area. The airport is just one bus ride away - took about 45 mins. The entire neighbourhood has this special charm about it that I can't quite describe in words!

I spent 7 nights here while working and meeting friends in Hamburg and found Margarete's apartment a perfect place to stay. It is located in a peaceful neighbourhood only a few minutes from the U-bahn station of Christuskirche from where it is easy to reach most of Hamburg quickly. The apartment is tastefully decorated: a perfect blend of period style and cosmopolitan charm with artefacts from Margarete's many travels around the globe. ||||The apartment is on the second floor and there is a small lift but it was out of order the whole week, so hauling luggage up and down was a bit of a hassle. Otherwise, everything worked very well. I had the opportunity to sample two rooms: the large double next to the bathroom which benefits from a good desk (ideal for laptop work) and the smaller double room opposite the front door (which I found to be less disturbed by noise of other guests' bathroom activities). The beds are very comfortable with quality pillows and duvet. The wifi was reliable throughout our stay. We were encouraged to help ourselves to tea and fresh fruit at any time of the day and given a full set of keys so we could come and go as we pleased. ||||Margarete is a helpful and considerate host and we very much enjoyed her local restaurant suggestions.||||Highly recommended.

margarete was a marvelous host during our recent stay in hamburg. my wife and i enjoyed ourselves immensely as guests. our room was roomy, clean, and well-appointed, the bedding and linens were clean and fresh. and the bathroom was sparkling. we were made to feel most welcome. margarete gave us good advice !re restaurants and attractions. she is most kind! do yourself a service and stay here while you visit hamburg!
